A close friend declared out of nowhere a few years ago that “I think if you are a good person then that’s enough to enter heaven”.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” Hebrew 11:6

That’s not a quote to lose hope in the possibility of being accepted by the Lord, it’s saying the opposite… “have faith in your Lord and he will lift you up.”

“Have faith in him and he will manifest his works within you.”

Pray that the Lord continues his good work in you until the return of his son Christ Jesus.

Many times over the bible states that you are required to invite Jesus into your heart, the only way to the father is through the son.

To face judgement is to be judged on every action, every word and every thought you have ever had.

If you thought to steal, then you have stolen, if you thought to be adulteress, then you were.

If you thought upon killing someone, then you already have in the eye of the Lord.

Ask for forgiveness with your heart, ask out loud so that your ear hears and resets your heart.

In Romans and John we are encouraged to speak out loud to request forgiveness and to offer forgiveness.

The Lord clearly states that he prefers to forgive and forget than pass judgment

Matthew 24 states clearly that you can not enter heaven on your good deeds alone.

“Works do not justify us or make us righteous before God, nor are they the means to salvation. Rather, our deeds are the fruit that grows from one who is obedient to God's commands and transformed by His grace.

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also “. James 2:26

Hence being a good person, performing righteous acts is close but not quite there.

You must be born again, you must be born of the spirit, no need for priest or pastors, you need only to fall before the Lord in your own space.

It’s simple, say it with me out loud.

Dear Heavenly Father

Hallowed be thy name

I am a sinner

Please forgive me of my sins

Jesus died on the cross and was raised three days later

Jesus I seek you in my heart

Say it again out loud and speak from your heart.

Now let your good deeds/works come from you freely, not to gain access to God ……but because you now have God within you.
